What’s A Cazimi?
For those unfamiliar, the “cazimi” is a term coming from Arabic astrology which translates to “in the heart”. This refers to the time at which a planet is within 1 Degree of the Sun.
Before the exact conjunction, when a planet is within a few degrees of the Sun, it’s treated as being “combust”, meaning that its influence is overshadowed by the Sun’s intensity. It is therefore treated as blinded or weakened, until the moment that it comes into perfect conjunction with the Sun, in which case it is treated as being empowered, but also solarized; brought into a vitalizing or valorous expression, with the full power of Sol at its back.
Alternatively, this can be considered a period of transformation or discomfort for that planetary influence, with impurities being revealed or “cooked off” - a sort of refresher, or realignment with that planet’s generative gifts.
The following is a list of Cazimi moments for 2025, showing dates, planets, degrees, and a brief summarizing of their overall themes.
I intend to do a series of in-depth forecasts for each Cazimi (or windows of time that involve them) and their conjoining space weather as time goes on, and will update this list by linking out to the respective articles once they are complete.

- March 14th: Lunar Eclipse in Virgo 23°
Well, a 23° eclipse, eh? Uncle Bob would probably hide. Not a Cazimi moment, but worth mentioning, since I’m not doing a separate article for the eclipses. Probably.
At this time, the Sun will be busy blinding Saturn and Neptune at the North Node, so this is an eclipse beset with issues around authority, vision and creative discipline.
It’s also worth mentioning that this is the day that the U.S. budget is due.

A look into the future
While I won’t call it a “Cazimi” officially, since the Nodes are calculation points, the congregation of no less than 5 heavenly bodies around the North Node at this time is quite significant. It’s simply a lot of gravity to place at the Head of The Dragon. This is a “Collective Destiny” moment for humanity and it’s worth mentioning.

March 22nd: Venus Rx Cazimi in Aries 2°
Venus stations retrograde on March 2nd in an exact conjunction with the Moon, loosely squaring Mars, then proceeds back toward Pisces; making contact with every planet she just passed in the Aries/Pisces traffic jam.
March 24th: Mercury Rx Cazimi in Aries 4°
I’m regarding this movement as a singular story, with Mercury pursuing Venus backward across the zodiac to find themselves in conjunction with Sol. This indicates to me an unflinching review of past actions and their consequences for relationships in the full, glaring light of the sun. Taking place in Aries, this could place emphasis on the outcomes of any rash behaviors or hasty decisions. Potentially even recalling actions taken during the Aries/Libra Eclipse moments of 2024. This is a Sword & Scale moment.
Venus stationing retrograde within an exact Lunar conjunction indicates that there will be an emotional flash-point that activates this process. With Venus poorly-dignified in Aries and exalted in Pisces, it’s as if she’s saying, “No, this is just too much. I can’t do this; I need to go back.” This might be a really important time to watch what you say to your lover. At least until Venus dips back into the cooling waters of Pisces to wash off the stink of battle. Well, after the eclipse, that is…
- March 29th: Solar Eclipse in Aries 8°
Occuring right in the middle of this Venus+Mercury Rx moment, it may be incredibly tempting to shoot first and ask questions later, especially if past hurts are in the mix. But try to keep the focus on reviewing and sitting with your own feelings for a while, especially since Uranus will be the Sextile pivot in a Trine between Mars and a retrograde Venus. This indicates the potential for a volatile moment where things can get personal. Uranus loves to bring us moments that we can’t go back from.

- April 7th - 24th: Venus Rx+Saturn Conjunction

- April 12th: Chiron Cazimi in Aries 23°

Can an asteroid have a cazimi moment? Why not! If nothing else, it is a conjunction worth mentioning. This whole March-April pile-up in Aries/Pisces appears to be around beginnings and endings, war and peace - a review of where and how boundaries are drawn, where cuts are made, how everybody feels about it very loudly, and the resulting consequences. A Sun+Chiron conjunction in the middle of this will be illuminating whatever wounds require healing in the aftermath, or whatever wounds might be fueling the fire. Sun+Chiron will be Squaring Mars, while the pile-up in Pisces is still Trining Mars. This promises to be an emotionally volatile moment.
Further, this will occur during a full moon!
At the same time, with the Sun having just moved away from its degree of exaltation in Aries, and with Neptune having recently ingressed Aries, this could also be a lionizing, mythic or heroic story of healing. A restoration of nobility and healthy ideals of self. Healthy expressions of ego. I recommend this date to enchant around the recovery of sovereignty, courage or even territory. Either that, or this will trigger wounds that center around the delusional properties of the aforementioned. Which is more likely for activity at a national or geopolitical level.
Think “The New Mythology of War” as applied to wounds and healing.
- May 18th: Uranus Cazimi in Taurus 27°
One last good earth shaker
This marks the Sun’s final check-in with the outer planets, who all finally finish changing signs in 2025.
- May 30th: Mercury Cazimi in Gemini 9°
An exchange of declarations and demands
It’s possible that this conjunction will be a book-end, calling to events and themes from the Mercury Rx Cazimi on March 24th. Saturn will have freshly ingressed Aries a few days prior, conjuncting Neptune, solidifying The Optics, as well as terms of action or conflict based on those optics.
Mercury then conjuncts Jupiter in Anaretic degree of Gemini on June 8th, potentially resolving or recalling something that began in the Mercury Cazimi/Jupiter Opposition on the December 5th 2024, which happened to be the day after the UHC CEO was shot. This was the day they reported the writing on the bullet casings. They “caught” the “suspect” on the 9th, with a Grand Fire Trine between Mercury, Moon and Mars, with Moon conjunct N. Node.

- June 24th: Jupiter Cazimi in Cancer 3°
Jupiter Cazimis are often known as The Day of Miracles. This happens once a year, and is regarded by some to be the luckiest day of the year. In Cancer, where Jupiter is Exalted (hooray!), this promises to be a time of great nurturing, closeness, understanding and Good Vibes™ wherever this transit falls in your life. A warm, protective hug that we all might be needing after the gauntlet of the preceding few months. Lean into it hard.

- September 13th: Mercury Cazimi in Virgo 20°
I’m going to start looking at taking the Mercury retrograde-direct cazimi cycle as a singular event to see if there are discernable patterns, or if they behave as a sort of “loop”. Just an idea I’m playing with.
