Saturn Cazimi | March 12th, 2025: The Holofractal Prism
How is your reality an expression of your patterns?
This article is written as a stand-alone, but I do strongly recommend taking a look at the article from last year:

During this cazimi, the blaring light of the sun penetrates the oceanic depths to turn the frozen castle into a prismatic cathedral. A kaleidoscopic swell that freshly ensorcels our journey through the maze. Jarring and disorienting, but stunningly beautiful. If we have stayed true to our reality-shaping efforts under Saturnian tutelage, we may have created more beautiful patterns, and they will be reflected back to us in brilliant edifice. As will our struggles and missteps.
With the insistent warmth of the Sun interrupting Saturn’s usual cold, dry demeanor, this moment promises to shed harsh light on flaws, shortcomings, loose ends, and areas of life that may require re-dedication; reminding us of the responsibilities that bring true substance to our generative efforts. A stark exposure of what is working and what is not. Whether or not our vital energies are invested in what is sustaining, in terms of longevity.
Situated in Pisces, this could center around issues of creative discipline. It may also concern the need to refresh and reinforce emotional and psychic boundaries, or force us to reflect on the way delusions, unresolved emotions and compromised boundaries have entrapped us or affected our Bottom Line.
On a positive note, this transit can also show us the fruits of what creative discipline we have mustered, as well as redouble the resolve and tenacity to cultivate more. Themes of Saturn in Pisces illustrate the journey from the imaginal to the material. What it takes to make a dream fully manifest. The Proper Channels through which it must pass. As well as the requirement to reckon with the emotional murk of one’s interior world in order to clear the creative channels and bring one’s vision to bear in the world of forms. Limitation and simplicity create the base conditions for vivid, fulfilling expressions.
In proximity to the North Node, these Saturn lessons become an even more crucial determining factor in the trajectory and demands of the moment.
However, with the Old Man in the last decan of the last sign of the zodiac, I can’t help but see signs of reaping and culling. A definitive Before and After. The great harvester and lord of comeuppance stands with his back to the Sun, and brings the shadow of his scythe over the closing of a cycle. There is a surveying, and a coming to terms.

We have:
Capricorn Rising for (MDT), chart ruler in cazimi
Saturn+Sun approaching North Node in Pisces
Venus Rx Conjunct Mercury in Aries
Mars in Cancer Trining Saturn+Sun
Uranus Sextiling Mars and Saturn+Sun
It is noteworthy that this cazimi is occurring at the edge of the March 14th Lunar Eclipse Shadow (said to extend out about 5 days on either side of an eclipse moment), with Saturn+Sun conjunct the North Node. This indicates to me that this cazimi’s revelations will serve to herald the looming eclipse.
Considering that the South Node falls in Virgo for this eclipse, this may look like a scuttling of best-laid plans or established orders, requiring a re-assessment once any imbalances are brought to light. A South Node eclipse also adds something to the overall theme of ‘endings’ that may preside here, with Virgo’s clarity and discerning influence declining as the energy of the moment gets tipped toward the massive gravity congregated near the North Node.
If the cazimi moment announces the eclipse, then it also announces the Mercury retrograde that begins on the eclipse. It seems like Venus’ retrograde motion precipitates Mercury’s retrograde motion here. As though he’s speeding to her with a message, but then sees her run by in the opposite direction, skidding to a stop and backtracking into Pisces in order to catch her. This indicates to me there may be poorly-timed or missed communications in relationships, trouble finding clarity among desires, women walking out on the discussion, or potentially “late luck”. The movement from Aries to Pisces could indicate an inability to express frustrations, or muddied emotional boundaries.
It’s also worth mentioning that the Neptune Cazimi will occur in Pisces on the 19th, which I will post about in the coming days. I believe these three events in short succession - this eclipse-nut-butter and cazimi sandwich, if you will - may coalesce to present a sort of Piscean meta-narrative. Everything bleeds together here in that very unboundaried Pisces way.
I’m also going to put the eclipse chart here just to make this all feel a bit more complete, although I’m not going to do a whole section on it since I talk about it in relation to all the other space weather throughout the article. And this is about cazimis anyway! I’ll try to stay on topic here:

About Face
Since I made mention of the first two Pisces decans in my previous article, I will also mention the face relevant to this cazimi and beyond.
This configuration will be in Pisces Decan III. Notably, this face is ruled by Mars - and Mars just so happens to be in an applying trine to Saturn+Sun from Cancer, with this aspect applying throughout the Lunar Eclipse on the 14th, and reaching 0°on April 4th. With the Moon in its domicile, nearing conjunction with Mars. In my area (MST), the Moon will also be on the Midheaven. Here’s that chart if you want it:
Considering that Saturn occupies a Mars-ruled decan, we can assume Mars has a bit more influence in the exchange, and considering the themes of Desire explored below, there may be a drive or even a desperation that proves interruptive to Saturn’s stabilizing presence. This will be exacerbated by the fact that Uranus will be acting as a sextile pivot between the trining Mars and Saturn; all aspects exact at 24° of their respective signs. With Uranus’ brand of “support”, the malefics are getting plenty of noise in the signal here.
There may be a press to solidify strategies and aims toward achieving fulfillment in the face of harrowing conditions. But with Mars still Exiled in Cancer, these drives may express inconsistently as a guttering flame or come in unpredictable bursts. This can create anxious tension or panic if ambitions find a mismatch with energy levels. Especially with Uranus in the mix, as I’ve found that natally, Uranus can indicate points of anxiety in a chart, which I believe applies to a predictive model as well. If you think of the crackling, anticipatory charge of Uranus’ presence as transferring to the nervous system, that starts to make sense.
Uranus can indicate free-floating fear in a system, which maps directly to its penchant for revolution and upheaval. Again, in exact aspect to both malefics…shrugs and drugs, my friends…
To bring out some finishing notes, Pisces Decan III - according to Austin Coppock’s 36 Faces - is represented as ‘A Cup of Blood’:
“The last decan of Pisces is a place of martyrdom, of being willing to sacrifice everything. It is about the attainment of one’s greatest desire, no matter
the cost. It is thus the place of perfect victory, the happy ending…”
“A willingness to sacrifice everything is necessary, but not sufficient.
One must have an ideal or a love worth sacrificing for. Many of those who
walk this decan are only too willing to engage themselves in the romantic
and often tragic stories which swarm this decan…”
An unwavering, sacrificial commitment to one’s ultimate desire? Well, sure. No pressure. But suddenly it makes extra sense why I’ve been drawing this card out of the Mercury Oracle:
There is no more crucial moment to get to the bottom of what we want and dedicate ourselves to it with single-minded purpose and total conviction. I do not pour this wisdom down to you; I wrestle with it myself. But what is apparent is this: The knots we tie and the nets we cast here are meant to pull us through What Is To Come. Saturn will be in Pisces until February of 2026. Which is probably plenty of time to get your shit together.
Probably.
So things to consider:
What am I dedicating myself to as though I could fucking die tomorrow?
Am I feeding my soul and valuing my creative agency?
Have I really sat with myself and gotten aligned with Desire?
How much time is left to do that sitting?
What drags me away from that endeavor?
What are my Sirens and where is my beeswax?
Am I being steered by political outrage, posturing and emotional blackmail?
Am I finding meditation or prayer every day?

This mess is chaotic as hell but this write-up seems like about as solid as a lifeline as could be thrown ahead of us. I went back and read the Saturn in Pisces article, definitely connects well. Feels like we've been having to strain our eyes to see anything remotely "solid" to head for but it seems like it'll all be worth it in the end...
