For my initial takes on Saturn in Pisces, I recommend reading my previous articles, linked below. This is in some ways a re-post of them, but relevant in light of Saturn’s retrograde back into Pisces.

On September 1st, 2025 Saturn’s retrograde motion brought him back into Pisces, right before the Lunar Eclipse in the same sign on the 7th.

Saturn will station direct November 28th, 2025, and will once again ingress Aries on February 13th, 2025.

A Note on Saturn in Aries

While the Saturn in Aries peek-a-boo we got in the summer accompanied what appeared to be A Bad Time For Everybody, Saturn moving back into Pisces has felt a bit like someone removing a hot boulder from the chest.

During Saturn in Aries, not only did it feel as though time had sped up, everyone I know, whether they were magically operant or not, made comments about it.

This makes a lot of sense for the slow, cold, grinding God of Time to have entered the sign of his Exile. The sign of haste and heat and the most rash and impatient expression of Mars nature.

I don’t think time feels like it sped up during that period. I think time objectively did speed up, and that it will do so again come mid-February. I’ve been calling it The Quickening.

Another Saturn in Aries theme that is arising very pointedly is Orthodoxy at War. The status quo taking up arms. But until that time is upon us again, things are a bit more relaxed, so let’s talk about something more relaxing.

The Piscean Roundup

With the Saturn in Aries pressure valve released, we have one last check in with Pisces Business.

Saturn in Pisces concerns the tension between dreaming and physicality. Enforcing boundaries on the boundless. The fruition of creative discipline. The consistent presence and dedication it takes to bring a creative vision into material reality, especially with dreams and projects that have been cooking a while, or that come from a deeper well. Maybe even the achievement of actual pipe dreams.

A retrograde motion here is specifically pointing toward things that have been put down or forgotten, either for seeming unrealistic or simply getting lost in the grind.

Also, I have seen several Pisces natives learn about emotional boundaries during Saturn’s time with their natal configurations.

If you’re thinking Saturn offerings, some of the better offerings are dedication and follow-through. As well as challenges met. If it’s something half-finished you’ve put down that’s been gathering dust a while, all the better. Saturn loves the long game, delayed gratification, and also tying up loose ends.

It may be worth marking the direct station on the 28th on a calendar or in a journal, to see how things shift in regard to these themes in your life. Really appreciate the opportunity to spend such quality time with creative pursuits before Saturn gets back into Aries. Because once that happens, it’s On.

Finally, a word about Sirens. Saturn in Pisces appears to accompany siren mytheme. Further below, I relate a personal story to give context to that claim, but for general purposes, it pays to have a thought about what your distractions are.

What is it that calls you away from your desirous endeavors? What that steers you off-course? The Saturn medicine here is the challenge to choose your creative vision over irresistible temptation. It could be said that that is always the case in life, but a time to every purpose; these themes are being amplified now. Ruled classically by Jupiter, and modernly by Neptune, Pisces nature has a formidable escapist bent, to which Saturn administers a stern challenge.

All of this also calls to the trademark Capricornian sea goat, and its symbolic transition from water to earth. Ether to matter. Dreaming to waking.

For funsies, I decided to pull up the chart of this moment, just to see it:

Turns out it was last minute in the Hour of Saturn, Capricorn Rising, With Mercury in exact Trine to Saturn in a Grand Water Trine.

This really isn’t bad space weather; Mercury in the fixed water sign gives itself to an accurate assessment and speaking of one’s needs and desires, as well as a boost to deep, cunning or even deceptive magics. Or malefica, but you’d never…

Trining an Exalted Jupiter who already wants to fulfill a wish, and Saturn Rx in Pisces - so there might not be much friction from the Old Man where a free lunch is concerned - this may be an exceptional time for spellcraft. Not to mention the sending and reception of useful messages to and from the respective Space Daddies.

And I guess Mercury is doing his job, because here I go blabbing about Saturn. How perfect. But enough about me. Let’s talk about me.

Lashed to the Mast

While I usually try to keep the focus off my own personal gnosis, I relate this story of astro-mythic symbology in hopes it will prove useful or informative to someone other than myself, as well as poke at some interesting questions about the nature of reality. No data irrelevant.
